MEMBERS PRIVACY

Collecting your information.  We collect your personal information so we can provide information about The Shed (see above) in line with privacy legislation.  To help us do this we collect information about your identity (name, address, email and phone number) plus your age bracket, ethnicity and gender.  From time to time we also take photos for Shed literature, our website and our Facebook page.  Please let us know if you prefer not to be included in the photos on our media platforms. 

Using your information.  We use your information to help us make decisions about your Membership.  These decisions may be about:

• Whether you are the right age to join our Shed

• Running our operations and ensuring our services are effective

• The services we’ll provide in the future

Sharing your information.  We share a limited range of your personal information with the Ministry of Internal Affairs.  This only includes age bracket, ethnicity and gender.   We would also have to share personal information if the law required us to.

Respecting your information.  We treat you and your information with respect by acting responsibly and ethically.  We use standard web-based technology from Google and Microsoft to keep your information safe.
