As a not-for-profit organisation, we rely upon grants, Membership fees and donations to cover our running costs.  In particular, we welcome donations of money, good condition tools and machinery, and consumables such as nails, PVA glue, etc.


If you would like to donate to our Shed, please contact our Coordinator to discuss ways to do this.  


If, on the rare occasion, we receive a donation that duplicates existing equipment or materials we will do one of the following:

  • Sell on the item to raise funds.​

  • Donate to another Mens' Shed to assist their establishment, or to fill a need.

  • Donate to another community group for the purpose of conducting a community project, eg; Rotary Clubs, The Gribblehirst Hub, etc.

We follow best practice and legal requirements for not-for-profit organisations and record all donations of equipment, funds or proceeds of donation sales.

Our Shed is open Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10 am to 3pm and Wednesday evenings from 6.30 to 9 pm.
